Favourite product for a pamper evening

Hello Beautiful

I don’t know about you, but I love putting aside 1-2 evenings a week to have a pampering session for myself.  This would typically include a hot bubbly bath or a lush bath bomb infused bath. Candles, and skincare treatment.

There are many different face treatments to choose from, face masks. exfoliators, oils, eye masks. Whats your favourite?

Mine is definitely the sheet masks. Here are a few I picked up the other day.

.20180425_17470620180425_17474620180425_174942

These are the usual brands that I use for the sheet masks. I always make sure I get a range of different skin type masks to suit how my skin looks and feels on pamper evening.

I usually choose a mixture of masks that will make my skin radiant/glowing, hydrated and one for tired dull skin. The Garnier masks cover hydration and other skin issues in one mask so these are a great choice.

My skin really does look and feel different after using one of these masks once a week. Once I have removed the mask after the recommended time I leave the remaining residue to soak into my skin before using my toner, eye cream, serum and moisturiser. If my skin is really dehydrated I will use an oil, then apply face cream before bedtime.

Whats your favourite pampering product? Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions that I could try. I’m always on the look out for new products to try and test.

Until next time

Take care

Fiery :)

Hello beautiful

Here is another make up look I did on Thursday night. I have titled this blog Firey because all I could think of when creating this look was the fireys from labyrinth! The look, although I was unsure at first, turned out really well. I used a mixture of orange and red.  I used was the heat palette by urban decay, the electric palette by technics and the veronni palette.

Please comment below, let me know what you think. Would you wear these colours on a night out?

My Favourite bloggers

Hello beautiful,

Hope you are having a great weekend.

As a qualified make up artist  and No 7 in store advisor I find it essential to my job to keep up to date with the latest skincare products, make up trends etc, so I will follow various you tube channels and blog posts, instagram and twitter accounts, etc. I wanted to share with you today my favourite Bloggers. Please click on the links provided to see for yourself how great these bloggers really are.

1- So my all time favourite has to be nowandgen.  (picture not my own it is copied and pasted from Gens blog site)

This is a lady who’s blog I will visit to get inspiration, not just about skincare but about life, recipes, fashion, books, parenting.

There is something about the way she writes, that captivates and inspires me, everytime I read an article. Please head over to her page and take a look for yourselves. She can also be found on twitter, instagram, and you tube.

This is a small clip of the all about me that Gen has written on her page.

Hi I’m Genevieve (or just Gen to those that know me best).  I’m a daughter, sister, mother, and wife. I’m also a traveler, reader, artist, activist, actress and lover of life and adventure. A California girl from birth, but a mountain girl at heart. My life has certainly been a wild ride, but with each unexpected turn I’ve been lucky enough to surround myself with people that mentor, encourage, and inspire me.

Ready for the cliff notes version? I was born in the Bay Area, grew up in a sunny valley of Idaho (which I consider my hometown), then spent time in Carmel before moving to New York City to attend NYU. Life then brought me to Los Angeles where my career began, but quickly shifted to Albuquerque (yup that one is hard to spell) when I was cast in a tv show, Wildfire. After a few more moves, I finally found home in Austin, Texas where I now  live with my three kids (Tom, Shep and Odette), husband Jared (yes, that guy from Supernatural among other things), eight chickens, and a dog named Arlo.

Please head over to her page and subscribe as this is definitely my favourite blog to read, and I know that it will soon become one of yours too.

2- Honesty for your skin.

( Picture has been copied and pasted from Cheryls blog page.)

The lady behind this blog is Cheryl Woodman. I did a blog earlier this week on a article that she wrote about the no 7 line correcting booster serum

This lady has all the info you need about skincare products and the ingredients. Whats good for your skin type, and whats best to avoid, the best foods to eat for your skin. She discusses the best natural  make up to buy. I’m pretty sure she has the answers to many of your questions. I came across Honesty for your skin when I was researching a product ingredient, the information I recieved about  it was amzazing, and easy to understand.

Check out her blog now by clicking on the link below.

3- The sunday girl.

This is a small clip taken from the about page

About

The Sunday Girl is a website solely dedicated to beauty – the products we use, love, adore, sometimes abhor, complete with the stories and people behind them. We like to think that the subject of beauty is a fascinating, complex and never ending tale, and just like you we can’t get enough of the latest launches, cult products or celebrity must-haves; the difference is we can’t help but document our adventures along the way and hope you’ll join us in discoveries both old and new.
After seven years of punching away at keyboard keys, arms permanently stained with make-up swatches and more than one groaning bathroom shelf, along the way The Sunday Girl has won several industry awards for its service to and dedication to lipstick (maybe not quite – most notably a Cosmopolitan blog award and a Johnson & Johnson Award for Best Beauty Blog, amongst many others.
This is a great blog, the sunday girl covers beauty books to extend knowledge, fragrances, make up skincare, she addresses sleep, and reviews products too.
Please click on the link to her page below
So these are my go to beauty bloggers, please go and check out their pages, I will list a few more beauty bloggers down below, these are also blogs I have come across but only recently, so let me know if you are subscribed to any of these.
Let me know your favourite bloggers, I always love finding new blogs to read. If you check out any of my favourite blogs now and gen, honesty for your skin, or the sunday girl let me know what you think.

My favourite beauty online stores.

Hello beautiful

Almost the weekend 🙂

I have been on the look out for some new products to try, skincare and make up. I wanted to share with you some of my favourite online beauty stores, these are my go to stores I look at before anywhere else.

1 – https://www.beautybay.com

This site is amazing if im wanting some products that I cant purchase from the uk, without spending a small fortune. They are reasonably priced and shipping is free over a £15.00 spend.

They sell brands such as anastasia beverly hills, coloured raine, cover fx, dose of colours, gerard cosmetics, jouer cosmetics, juvia’s place, kevyn aucoin, make up geek, Mario badescu, milani, morphe, ofra, talika, violet voss, and the list goes on.

They sell a range of skincare products, make up, bath and body care, make up brushes, nail care, electrical, gift, haircare and accessories.

2- https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/

This site is amazing for getting products at a great price. They sell brands such as pixi, huda beauty, becca, anastasia beverly hills, NYX, benefit, charlotte tilbury, farsali, dermadoctor, laura geller, stilla, zoeva and many many more. This site has it all with make up, haircare, skincare, bath and body care, well being, tools, gifts, and fragrance.

You get free luxury samples with a £50.00 spend and if you subscribe to their newsletter you get free shipping on your first order.

3-http://www.boots.com/

So boots is a must stop shop for everyone, it sells pretty much everything you are looking for and if you own an advantage card its even better. You collect points as you shop in store or online and can them redeem your points for free shopping, and come on who doesnt love free shopping? The site has various offers all the time such as 3 for 2, buy one get one half price, triple points, double points etc. This site sells sun protection, hair care, holiday essentials,  fragrance, self tan, electricals from toothbrushes to straightners, mirrors, make up brands such as NO 7,  loreal, nyx, revlon, collection, natural collection, maybelline to name only a few, make up brushes, false lashes, vitamins,  skincare such as No 7, clarins, elizabeth arden, Liz earl, I could go on forever.

You can also get your products delivered free to store the next day.

So there you have it, these are my most visited beauty online shops. I will always go to debenhams or house of fraser if I want my urban decay or clarins products, I have stores in the city I live in so I will pop into there rather than buy online. However if you don’t have these stores they are great to shop online for too as they have some great high end brands to offer.

I would love to know if you have some different online shops where you purchase your beauty products. I’m always on the look out for new places to shop.

Maybe you have used the online stores I have mentioned today, if so let me know what you shop there for, do you have a particular brand you shop online for?

Until next time

Take care

Honesty for the skin – write up on No 7 laboratories line correcting booster serum

Hello beautiful,

I came across a website called Honesty for the skin (I will link this below for you) This is a great website, with lots of information on skincare.

Below is a description taken from the website explaining what the website is about.

Honesty for your skin, is all about…

  • Dealing out the real science behind skincare ingredients & why (or even if!) they work.

  • Helping you to ‘clean eat’ for your skin, you won’t be falling for any sugar coated raisins again ‘eh *winks*.

  • Empowering you to make great (science backed) skincare decisions just by looking at the ingredients list.

  • Helping you understand what your skin is trying to tell you if you’ve suddenly gotten acne or eczema or another skin condition you’ve never, ever suffered before.

  • Showing you how to read between the lines of skincare claims and/or just make some crazy goddam sense outta the back of those labels!

The lady behind this website is called cheryl woodman. This is one of the best websites I have found so far on skincare advice and information. Cheryl also done an article on the new No 7 line correcting booster serum. This is what she has to say about it. Please click on the link below.

Let me know your thoughts.

Until next time
